Grapevine, Texas-Historic Main Street

Main Street USA

Continuing my post on Grapevine, TX, I am going to cover Historic Main Street in Grapevine and in future posts I will venture to two other attractions in Grapevine, Lake Grapevine and Founders Plaza. Historic Main Street in Grapevine, TX seems like the kind of setting you would see in a Hallmark Christmas movie. It is filled with quaint shops, restaurants and pubs. There’s outdoor eating areas, a gazebo in a park like setting and even an authentic log cabin from when Grapevine was established. In my first post, Grapevine, TX- A Gem of a Town I featured three eating establishments that are staples in Grapevine, all three of which are located either on, or in the vicinity of Historic Main Street. I’ll cover two more of the local favorites in this article.

The Torian Log Cabin

A Dwelling of Historic Value

Originally built in 1845, the Torian Cabin was threatened with demolition in 1976, that is until the Grapevine Historical Society moved in to save it. The cabin was dismantled and moved to it’s current location on the Northeast corner of Historic Main Street. It is part of the walking tour of Grapevine and you can listen to the audio on the history of this Cabin. The cabin is an element that adds to the history and charm of downtown Grapevine.
